The Ultimate Acne Coverage Foundation Routine

5:00 PM

I know, that a lot of you will suffer with acne at some stage in your life. Some people are blessed with flawless skin, and will never experience acne, if thats you, I envy you! I have struggled with minor acne, and I still do from time to time. I have tried out so many different products that claim to be full coverage and cover acne, and so many of them were horrendous! They all looked thick, heavy and cakey, no matter how well it was blended or even if it wasn't set with powder.

A few years ago, I came across Vichy Dermablend. I cannot express how good this range is! I don't use it all the time, but if my skin is a little bit more on the bad side, I use this, and it is perfect! It is developed by dermatologists, and it is non-comedogenic, so it won't block your pores which can increase acne. It is also formulated for those of you who have even the most sensitive skin. This is the perfect range, that won't only cover the acne, but actually help to improve the skin at the same time!

Start by dotting this evenly all over the face. A few dots on each cheek, forehead, nose, chin and down the neck. A light layer is all you need to start off with. Start buffing this into the skin using a flat top brush for maximum coverage. After buffing it all out, if you need more coverage, add another layer over the areas in which you need it. One layer gives a good medium/full coverage! It doesn't go cakey, but just looks like a flawless second skin!

This is crazy full coverage. I think this is way too heavy to apply all over the face, because it is a really thick stick formula. Take a small liner brush, and pick up a little bit of product from the stick. You do not need much of this, when I say a little goes a long way, I mean it! Apply it right on top of the imperfection and take a small eye blending brush and softly tap over the area to blend the concealer.

I was shocked with this stuff! It is like glue for your makeup. Once you apply this, your makeup isn't going anywhere! This foundation doesn't really need to be set, because it is so long lasting and matte on its own. Although, if your oily like me, apply the tiniest amount of this to your face to set the makeup and to really make sure that all the makeup won't move all day!
