The Easiest Way To Apply Lashes

5:00 PM

Over the past few months, I have became a big fan of false lashes. I love experimenting with different styles, and I think they add the perfect finishing touch to any makeup look. I used to think the application of strip lashes was so hard, but as they say, practice makes perfect. I am definitely not perfect at applying them, but I have gotten a lot better. I have found the easiest and quickest way to apply my lashes, and I thought I would share it with you today! I hope this helps!

Always start of with mascara, this is going to prep your natural lashes, and make it a little easier to apply the lashes.

Next is glue. I don't like the glue that comes in the pack with the lash. It really burns my eyes, and just doesn't work for me, however the DUO Eyelash Adhesive is perfect. Not only does it keep your lashes on and in place all day long, it is very comfortable and doesn't cause any irritation to the eye area ( for me anyway! )
Apply the glue in a thin line, the whole way across the lash band. I always focus more of the glue on the inner and outer corners, because they pop of the easiest. Personally, I like to wait about 30 seconds, this is to make sure that the glue gets tacky, and when you put it on to your lash line, its not going to slide around everywhere, but its going to stick down a lot quicker and easier.

Take a pair of tweezers and hold the lash in the centre. Take the lash, and set it down, as close to the lash line as possible. You want the band to be almost invisible. Apply to the centre first, then tuck the inner and outer corners of the lash band down. You want to hold the corners down for a little longer, to make sure the glue really dries and sticks down, making sure your lash is going to be on all day, with no need for touch ups.

Once the lash is on, I always apply another coat of mascara, to make sure my natural lashes blend in with the falsies. I also tight-line my eyes ( line the upper rim of the eye ) which is going to really make the lashes look a whole lot more real and natural, focus this on the inner portion of the upper rim, to make sure you can't see where the lash band starts, but it all blends seamlessly.
